Where did the Bible come from? How do I know my translation is reliable? John Witherspoon College is offering the Origin of the Bible course this summer, taught by Professor Justin McGeary, Dr. Ronald Lewis, and Dr. Elias Diaz. We will look at biblical manuscripts and how they were transmitted, explore the formation of the canon, acquaint ourselves with the genres of the Bible, introduce the doctrines about Scripture, and examine some issues surrounding translation. There is plenty to learn and discuss about God’s word! Origin of the Bible is an introductory three-credit course offered in a condensed two-week format. It will enhance your appreciation for God’s word, its history, and your access to it.

Origin of the Bible will be taught at the JWC Campus on June 8-19, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm. Registration is limited to 9 students. Please call or email the office to register at the summer tuition rates below:
