June 2020 Fidelis Letter from the President
Dear JWC family and friends,
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting (Psalm 136:1 NASB).
John Witherspoon College held a private graduation ceremony on May 15, 2020 for our graduates and their immediate families, as extended family and friends watched online. What a joy to celebrate with the families of the graduates. Three of the graduates will do further studies elsewhere and another plans to go directly into the workforce and will be getting married this summer! If you have yet to view the May 15, 2020 graduation ceremony, you are encouraged to watch it on Facebook.
The day after graduation, Dr. Bret Saunders and his family returned to their home area in Idaho after serving eight fruitful years with JWC. They all will be greatly missed. Yet we rejoice with them as they move into the next chapter of their lives.
John Witherspoon College is forging ahead into a new chapter, providing Christ-centered education for service to the church and the world. Dr. Laura Sherwood will take Dr. Saunders place as the professor of humanities. Professor Justin McGeary, along with two other professors, will teach a summer class, The Origin of the Bible, offered June 8-19. See below for more details.
Students are organizing several outdoor events for this summer, and our staff and faculty are already starting to gear up for the fall semester beginning August 24.
Your prayers are greatly needed and appreciated for the following:
The Psalmist, David, also says, The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands (Psalm 138:8 NASB).
Thank you for your prayers and support of the students at John Witherspoon College.

Last Day to Register!
Where did the Bible come from? How do I know my translation is reliable? John Witherspoon College is offering its Origin of the Bible course this summer, taught by Professor Justin McGeary, Dr. Ronald Lewis, and Dr. Elias Diaz. We will look at biblical manuscripts and how they were transmitted, explore the formation of the canon, acquaint ourselves with the genres of the Bible, introduce the doctrines about Scripture, and examine issues surrounding translation. There is plenty to learn and discuss about God’s word! Origin of the Bible is an introductory three-credit course offered in a condensed two-week format. It will enhance your appreciation for God's word, its history, and your access to it.
Fall Semester Begins August 24, 2020
