June 2021 Fidelis Letter from the President
Dear JWC family and friends,
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge (Psalm 19:1-2, ESV).
God reveals Himself in general revelation through nature including such phenomenal events as the red super moon eclipse during the early morning hours of May 26. What an awesome sight it was to see the eclipsed moon set over the Black Hills just before the dawn of a new day!
God also reveals Himself in special revelation through the Living Word, Jesus Christ, and through His Written Word, the Bible. What joy it was to see students at John Witherspoon College take a summer class on The Origin of the Bible, taught by several of our professors.
The purpose of John Witherspoon College is to glorify God as the beginning and end of all knowledge, and the mission is to provide Christ-centered, classical education for service to the church and the world.
To carry out the purpose and mission, JWC focuses on five primary objectives:
Your prayers are greatly appreciated for the following:
Thank you for your prayers and support of the students at John Witherspoon College so that they may receive a Christ-centered, classical education and be sent out for service to the church and the world. May you have a blessed and fruitful summer in your work and walk with God.
Sincerely yours in Christ, Ronald Lewis President

End-of-Year Celebration Service
At the end of our Spring Semester, the JWC family gathered together on May 7th to hear students and faculty share about how they have seen God at work at JWC this year. Choir Director David Greff led in singing joyful hymns of praise to God, and Meredith Oldham played her harp. After this, we enjoyed ice cream and fellowship as we said our goodbyes for the summer break.
Where did the Bible come from? The Origin of the Bible course was taught by Professor Justin McGeary, Director of the Christian Studies Program, Dr. Elias Diaz, Adjunct Professor of Christian Studies, and Dr. Ron Lewis, President of John Witherspoon College. In this 2-week Summer Term class, students learned more about the Bible's authority and inspiration, the historical origins of the Old and New Testaments, and the relevance of Scripture for daily life.
Please share with others about JWC! Classical, Christian Education Serving Christ Wherever He Leads Raising Up a New Generation of Leaders The Apostle Peter
