![]() September 2021 Fidelis Letter from the President
Dear JWC family and friends,
When Nehemiah returned to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, he also rebuilt the faith of the people. Nehemiah redirected their focus away from “the impossible” toward the greatness of God. He gave assurances that “The God of heaven will give us success,” and “the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 2:20; 8:10 NASB).
Two years ago, as we were embarking on a new decade, we envisioned that God might double the student enrollment to 40 students. Currently the JWC enrollment has reached 31 students toward that goal and is projected to graduate four or five more students in 2022. For this we praise God.
The fall semester is now in full progress with 25 courses being taught by 12 faculty (4 full time and 8 adjunct). We had our largest turnout for New Student Orientation on August 20 and now we look forward to the JWC Fall Convocation tomorrow (September 2).
JWC celebrates its tenth anniversary year as a four-year, degree-granting (accredited) college this academic year. Please join in celebrating the greatness of God in bringing us all this far. Such progress results from a combined effort of God working through His people, through the students, staff, faculty, administration, Board of Trustees, and through you.
Thank you for your support and prayers for the ministry of John Witherspoon College in providing Christ-centered classical education for service to the church and the world.
Sincerely yours in Christ, ![]() Ronald Lewis President
